A Note From Our Pastor
We have one Benedictine monastery in Iowa: New Melleray Trappist Monastery outside of Peosta, in eastern Iowa. St. Benedict set forth “hospitality” as the foundation of Benediction spirituality guiding the monasteries that thrived throughout the world.
All are welcome to join us this Wednesday, March 12th, at 6:45 pm in the church.
GriefShare Starts this Thursday
Please join us on Thursdays beginning March 13th through June 12th from
6:30 to 8 pm at Fitzgerald Hall at Sacred Heart Church.
At GriefShare you’ll watch a weekly video with counsel and insights from respected grief experts and relatable personal stories—followed
by a time of sharing and support. Session topics include what's normal in grief; how to handle difficult emotions; and what to do with regrets, questions, and worries.
This is a non-denominational christian support group. Please share with anyone you know who could use this support.

The Light Is ON For You Tuesday March 18th!
By participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), whether our first time in days, weeks, months, or years, we are experiencing God’s individual and unwavering love for us and one of the true graces made available to us by our Catholic faith. The Light is ON for you to receive God's mercy at St. Malachy Church in Madrid on March 18th. Fr. Tim will be hearing confessions a half hour before and after the 5:30 pm Mass. (Daily Masses are shorter! Approx. 30 minutes)
Can't make it? Regular weekly confession times are at Sacred Heart: 5pm Saturday, 11am Sundays and St. Malachy: 8am on Sundays.

Columbarium at Sacred Heart Cemetery
Niches will be available in the columbarium on March 15th. If interested in purchasing a niche, we suggest making an appointment at the parish office after March 15th. Please contact Deanna at 515-432-1971 to set up an appointment. Burial spaces are also available within the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Rice Bowls
There will be NO Fish Fry's at Sacred Heart and
St. Malachy on Friday March 14th.

Families had fun at the St. Malachy Mardi Gras Carnvial after Mass last week at St. Malachy. Over $800 was raised to help children attend Catholic Youth Camp this summer. Thank you to all who participated!
